semi prefabricated housing in l´Eixample (Barcelona)

2010

This Interior has been constructed with dry technology in a multifamily building of 4 housing per floor, after tearing down and emptying the three structural spaces that compose it. Bathrooms and kitchen are housed inside semi-prefabricated volumes built in factory without using any conventional processing. These three semi-prefabricated volumes and wardrobes, except the server furniture against the dividing wall, stand up to 50 cm far from the ceiling with a threefold purpose: allowing the top view of the whole space, indirect lighting the colored polycarbonate roof, and supporting the indirect lighting fixtures that direct light beams to the ceiling. The lack of insulation of some exterior walls is solved with a coating of insulating glass that also resolves the waterproofing in the water areas and ventilation of the kitchen and bathrooms. The roof is covered with cardboard glued to it to mask the original plaster defects and to improve the space acoustics. The pavement is new linoleum placed over the old pavement.
